Health Center (Küpçüoğlu House)

Also known as the Akdağmadeni Health Center, the Küpçüoğlu House is a square-planned, two-storey mansion in the Hayta Çeşmesi area of Akdağmadeni. Its corner stones, door and window arches are made of finely cut marble, while the remaining surfaces use plainer marble. Two octagonal marble columns with flat capitals stand before the entrance, supporting a matching balcony above. The entrance and balcony doors are round-arched, and the front facade carries six round-arched, iron-grilled windows on each floor. The side facade holds a round-arched, stepped entrance and an upper balcony door, though the balcony itself has collapsed, leaving only three supporting brackets. The rear facade shows a large niche that likely once held a balcony, and the side facade has a wooden garden door; the roof is covered in traditional Turkish tile. Inside, a stepped, iwan-fronted entrance leads to a spacious hall whose floor has been resurfaced in concrete over stone, with a ceiling adorned in relief ornament. Six doors open off this hall, and a separate wooden staircase with a balustrade leads to the upper floor. The building stands out among the district's registered late Ottoman civil architecture for its rich marble stonework and well-preserved decorative details.
