Kadıpınarı Nature Park

Kadıpınarı Nature Park is a roughly 9-hectare protected area within Akdağmadeni district, designated a nature park on July 11, 2011. Located just 2.5 kilometers from the district center and about 102 kilometers from central Yozgat, the park sits at an elevation of 1,352 meters within a typical continental climate zone. Scotch pine forest makes up most of the vegetation, complemented by oak species, black pine, juniper and maple, adding further diversity to the ecosystem. Beyond its plant life, Kadıpınarı is notable for the wildlife it shelters — the park provides refuge for species rarely found elsewhere in Central Anatolia, including brown bears, lynx and red deer. Forest birds are another draw, making the area particularly appealing for nature photography. Managed by the Akdağmadeni Municipality since 2019, the park features marked walking trails and rest areas that cater to both hikers and families looking for a picnic spot. Its proximity to the district center makes it an easy day-trip addition for anyone visiting Akdağmadeni, offering a cool, shaded pause surrounded by pine forest.
