The Akdağmadeni Old Recruitment Office is a rectangular, two-storey late Ottoman-era building located in the Yeşildere neighborhood of Akdağmadeni district, Yozgat. The ground floor is entered through a portico with angular marble columns, whose roof forms the entrance balcony of the upper floor. Two round wooden columns support the balcony's timber ceiling, linked by three arches and two decorative pendants made of thin wooden strips; the balcony facade carries a triangular pediment. The ground floor holds a spacious hall reached through a simple door, opening onto three rooms, one of which contains a fireplace directly across from the entrance. The upper floor's plain door is flanked by two round-arched windows above and one large window on either side. The building served for decades as the local military recruitment office. It has since been carefully restored, preserving its original architectural character, and is now operated by the Akdağmadeni Municipality as a guesthouse. It stands as one of the rare surviving examples of late 19th-century Ottoman civic architecture in the district. Located in the Akdağmadeni town center, the building is easily combined with visits to other registered historic houses nearby, such as Küpçüoğlu House and the İstanbulluoğlu Mosque, forming a compact heritage walking route.
