Şebekpınarı Plateau

Şebekpınarı Plateau lies on the road between Yozgat's Aydıncık district and Eymir, about 1 kilometer south of the Aydıncık town center. The plateau sits on Gezbel Hill, at an elevation of 1700 meters, on the slope of the mountain range known as "Daşlı Dağlar" that faces Aydıncık. Used as a picnic area for many years, Şebekpınarı and its surroundings have been incorporated into the "Şebek Forest Recreation Area" program run by the National Parks branch of the General Directorate of Forestry, which has built visitor facilities including landscaped grounds, seating areas, and rain shelters. Described locally as a natural wonder, the picnic area's spring waters are widely believed by locals to have healing properties, and residents frequently visit Şebekpınarı in summer both to cool off and to benefit from these waters. Its 1700-meter elevation gives the plateau a cool climate even during the hottest summer months, while the surrounding forest cover provides a pleasant setting for hiking and picnicking. Easily reached from the Aydıncık town center in a short drive, Şebekpınarı is an important stop along the highland tourism route in southeastern Yozgat province.
