This route is designed for anyone who wants to get to know Yozgat in a single day — everything is within walking distance, a comfortable itinerary you can finish between morning and midday.
Start your day at the Yozgat Museum; learning the story of the Çapanoğlu family and the Bozok region before touring the city makes the buildings you'll see afterward far more meaningful. A few minutes' walk from the museum brings you to the heart of the city, right in front of the Hamidiye Clock Fountain — and just behind it rises Yozgat's landmark, Çapanoğlu Mosque. From the mosque's courtyard, move on to the Çapanoğulları Family Tomb, then cross the street to the Çapanoğlu Double Hamam; all three are the late-18th-century legacy of the same family, and their closeness to one another is no coincidence.
From here, continue on foot toward Karslıoğlu Mansion — one of the rare surviving examples of Ottoman-era civil architecture, among the very few mansions that have made it to the present day. At the end of the walk, climb up to the Clock Tower; it's the city's most familiar silhouette and an ideal spot for a photo stop.
If you're tired from the midday heat, try Yozgat's famous Arabaşı soup or Tandır Kebab at a restaurant near the center — both are within walking distance of where this route ends. If you have time left, you can close out the day with a walk in Çamlık National Park just outside the city; the coolness of the pine forest is the perfect break after a warm day of touring.
